How to Use

  1. Enter the supply voltage that your power source provides.
  2. Enter the forward voltage for your LED (this value can typically be found in the LED datasheet).
  3. Enter the forward current for your LED in milliamps (mA).
  4. Click “Calculate Resistor Value” to get the recommended resistor in ohms (Ω).

Example

  • Supply Voltage: 5V
  • LED Forward Voltage: 2V
  • LED Forward Current: 20mA

Click “Calculate” and the calculator will recommend a resistor value, which in this example would be 150Ω.
