Maker Bits Tool Library
This end mill database contains the recommended starting speeds and feeds for Maker Store’s end mills. Please note that this library is updated as soon as a new end mill type is supplied. To be notified when new end mill types have been added to the library, please sign up for our newsletter here.
Please note that this is used as a starting guide and, as every machine kit has differences in rigidity, you may need to fine-tune these settings to further optimise your CNC routing. Please use these libraries at your own risk. Errors and omissions excepted
Fusion360 Library
Fusion360 Library Installation Guide
This end mill tool library was created for the Maker Bits selection of end mills. This library has been pre-filled with suggested milling parameters to get you started. Modifications to these parameters are suggested based on your machine’s capabilities.
- Please download and unzip our Fusion360 Tool Library here.
- Open Fusion360 and click the Model Tab, select Manufacture.
- From there, navigate the toolbar and select the MANAGE menu. Click on the Tool Library submenu.
- A new menu will pop up and select the Import libraries highlighted by the green square.
- You will be prompted to choose the library file. Select Maker Bits Tool Library.tools file, then click “Open” and the list will load in the library.
- You will now see the Maker Bits Tool Library under the Local drop-down menu. It is populated with Maker Stores end mill list ready for use. When you are completing your tool paths you can now select the end mill you have purchased or wish to use with ease!

Vectric Library
Vectric Library Installation Guide
This end mill tool library was created for the Maker Bits selection of end mills. This library has been pre-filled with suggested milling parameters to get you started with Vectric. Modifications to these parameters are suggested based on your machine’s capabilities.
This end mill tool library was created for the Maker Bits selection of end mills for use with the Vectric Software. This library has been pre-filled with suggested milling parameters to get you started. Modifications to these parameters are suggested based on your machine’s capabilities.
- Please download and unzip our Vectric Tool Library here.
- Open Vectric, and create a new file.
- Click on the Toolpaths tab in the menu toolbar, highlighted by the green rectangle below.
- A menu dialogue will show. Click on the Tool Database submenu.
- A default set of libraries will show. Click on the Import a tool database icon depicted by a folder (highlighted by the green square below).
- Navigate to where you have downloaded the Maker Bits Vectric Tool Library.vtdb. By default, your all downloads will be in your computer’s downloads folder. Select the tool library file and click Open.
- A dialogue box will show, asking you how you would like to import the tools. Select the Merge option.
- Upon successful installation, the library will show as such:
- Check to confirm that all the end mill library categories are populated by clicking on the ‘+‘, icon next to the Maker Bits Vectric Tool Library to expand the categories.

Carveco Tool Library
Carveco Library Installation Guide
- Please download and unzip our Carveco Tool Library here.
- Open the Carveco software.
- Create a new model or open an already existing model.
- In the Project panel, select the tree’s Toolpaths icon. Its associated tools are displayed below the Project panel’s splitter bar.
- Click the Tool Database button included in the Toolpath Operations area shown below the Project panel’s splitter bar.
- The current default Tool Database will show. Click the Import button highlighted by the red rectangle below.
- Select the unzipped Maker Store Carveco Tool Library.tdb tool library file and click Open. The Carveco Tool library will now be loaded into the Tool Database. Click the OK button highlighted by the red rectangle and the library will be saved.
Complete! You can now use the end mills to create toolpaths.
